Old Stall Ah Seng Bak Gut Teh Probably the best Bak Gut Teh - Pork Rib Soup in Town. The Ah Seng Pork Rip soup actually move down have a street of the bugis. From the outside of the new Ah Seng, should a big interior upgrade. There is a Big and Famous Song Fa Bak gut Teh down nearer at China Town area. But it is always of long que. This one is a real street old School.

City Center Singapore Panorama You sometime cannot get a CLEAN shot of Singapore Urban Landscape. There is always something happen somewhere sometime around the year. Be it a road re-construction, some F1 Car Race or a simple company event.

  Mr Shenton and his road Mr Shenton is a real person of Colonial Singapore. Obviously a British Official. The books of Battle of Singapore has some brief Mention of  him, something got to do with Finance and Tax Stuff. Today it is the Golden Mile, No factory No Goods, but all the Financial Banks and Corporates HQ do their Number crunching and meetings here. Finance Banking and Corporate Service are one of Singapore Key Strength. Indeed some even move their Asia Region HQ here instead of Shanghai for various commercial strategic reason. Local Banks of course will  Base here obvious. And surprise to some even some Public Agency has Sky Scraper here, like NTUC - it is actually a Labour Union. ( That is another story)

Tiong Bahru- All Rights Reserved Tiong Bahru is kind of pre-historic status , it is not a full New Town and it is Not the First New Town. That should goes to Queenstown as a full-fledge modern New Town Housing Estate. Tiong Bahru is more like some cluster of modern New Village built on Concrete. As oppose to Old Village Attap Zinc house. Attap is kind of Trop Tree Branch which looks like coconut tree leaf, suitable for Kampong House Roof Top. Guess has some water resistance purpose. But later "upgrade" to metal Zinc Plate. There is actually Real People living in his Real Town of Tiong Bahru . On of my friend actually grow up in Tiong Bahru during Childhood. Guess sometime in the future this place may turn into some sort museum. ( Yes Singapore is getting some museum and history bugs) But for the Time Being it just that many commercial shop owner choose this town as the HQ to their Niche Product and Service NB - Trying to add some "story " to the Photog

Suburb Town Christmas Deco, Singapore Suburb Town Christmas Deco, Singapore Not all Christmas commercial are at Orchard. Marina Area these days are full of Christmas Deco too. Marina Square, Bay Sands and City Hall also quite strong as a Retail Center too. This one is at Bugis Shopping cater to more local crowd. A new Bugis Plus also join the Crowd of SG congested Mall Scene. But each seems to have its own unique Business Advantage.

These are some at the central business district of Shenton Way. Gone are the days company fight for the highest Sky-scraper, but interesting design still comes out every once a while

Gold Mile it is call because it is a single stretch of road which all the Big Financial Company, Architecture Skyscraper and MNC Regional HQ are. Mr Shenton do exist as of the  British chief during the Colonial Era. Now it is remembered as one of the Famous Street of Singapore. One of the shot is taken for the center of the road. A quick snap half way across the road. Not very advisable

Pano Singapore River 2 This is another view from the bridge, with the Museum on the right. Can see the river, the Shop House and the bridge appear to be small at the far end. These day frequent Tour boat comes and goes instead of real cargo boat. There is a Boat Taxi that some promote to be sort of real transport , but the response is not too good. A few sets of Prints Cityscape are available now at 8R size

Singapore River Pano Where it all begins Singapore River is where it all begins. Its used to be a river Black in color. With cargo ships in and out, and merchants go-down storing bags of rice and thousands other merchandise. All the modern Building Architectures are relative new. These is a photo of these area with just the British Fullertion House - Then General Post Office. These old shop house is now Modern Beer Garden and Expensive Sea-food Eat. Further down the River is the river-side private residential cluster. And a Ware-house turn Hip-hop Disco Tech. The Panorama of this River is out too. A monochrome version.

This is what the end of the Orchard Road looks like. Just some Niche Shops and Europe Cottage like House. Beside is the Last Shopping Mall Tangling Mall. A Few High-end Hotel. The Foreign Embassy is just right ahead. A few more walk will the entrance of the Botanic Garden. Some Ultra High End Residence. And a New Building seems like a Inter-Pol . At least that is what the Sign Board Say.

The whole things is built on land fill sands. The Helix bridge derive  the name from the Bio DNA Chain. It symbolize the Singapore will to thrive in the Bio-Chem Industry. Probably one of the high growth area in terms of science research. Break-through in Human G-nome project and the mysterious DNA makes LIFE SCIENCE the IN-SCIENCE of the New Century.

The Singapore Housing system is so good that the British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher brings it back to England. People here buy their house with affordable price through a Public saving Programme CPF. One of the First Big Town is the Toa Payoh.  It is kind of Block design, but provide housing for the mass population then.

Botanic Garden Singapore is basically a Concrete Jungle Tropical. But it is also has quite a substantial Green Area of tropic rain forest far from the city area. The next best from nature Greens will be the Parks and Garden. The Old Garden is the Good Old Botanic Garden, it make takes some times to finish a whole walk. In addition to the Old area, There is a Total New Sector Mark out reconstructed. This is the Swan Lake. The small group of swan still swimming around all this years.

Monochrome Esplanade Theatre Singapore The full name is Theatre on the Bay. Also call Esplanade Theatre. Because there is a Esplanade Walk nearby. Wonder why don't call it Elizabeth Theatre. Singapore is more Influence than the British than the Spaniard. It suppose to looks like an Old-school micro-phone that Elvis Presley used. All kind of Performance are stage here. But usually its quite QUIET at day time on the weekdays. Beside the Public Library, the facilities seems not fully utilise. Should have more common commercial Shop other than the Poster shop. Who goes and buy Violin everytime ... please

City in HD Quite a relative new technique. It is not just processing - need 3 shot with different exposure. Combining into a High Dynamic Range Photo.  With not too much over-doing still can achieve some reasonable result. Call it HD in Simple - sound like High Quality and HD TV.

This is the super-mart like Food Center. All the goodness in one place at the city center. Just beside the Raffles Place MRT. The night event is the Satay Club. It will be the Best if the Bus is All Red. May be a hand-color for some Tee shirt design. Of course will not tell you the Processing formula - yes its kind of Trade Secret already. Center Hawker Singapore A strange mix of Chinese food and Local Singapore food, hawker center finds its way into the 21 century. Some of the stall has become "Branded" through the years. You never missed the food you like as the variety is simple too wide North-South-East-West. The latest comer is some Northen Chinese Food. The Cholesterol level is on the high side. The trick is too cool down with a after meal sugar-cane juice. Seats are ample these days, no need to rush But for some  popular stall, still need some patience to get the dish. Recommended Chicken Rice and Fried Kway Teow. NB : When you thought No more Pictorial Story telling anymore since years in school uniform . One big round from school picture tell story. Photography Stories is the "IN" things.

Small Town of the East 1 Small Town of the East 2 Small Town of the East 3 A typical Newtown of Singapore. Quite Old and Not too old is Bedok Town, East of Singapore. The square box flat is a classic 5-room flat of the old generation. Not much surprise but the New Town is where the LIFE is.

Even the Locals like to drop by as obviously is one of the Heavy investment Area of SG. This the  Third Terminal Interior that was recently started. Of course there is more than Singapore Girls here , as the Air-port also hold all Major Airline. Several good restaurant available. Even have many choice for budget Express Traveller. Usually people will package SG with Malaysia and Thailand as a group. Or recently, the Australia which is not too far Geographically. Shanghai seems much further and Hong  Kong  Not too near actually

Singapore River HDR A special Technique call HDR. High Dynamic Range Imaging - sort of High Quality or HD. Its actually three picture with different exposure combine into one. The dynamic range is more, but need some process adjust. Most tends to over-do the image, result in something too artificial. The more natural one is good. May be its time to commercialise this HDR technique. This is from the Old Collection quite some times ago

City by Night 2 City by Night 2 All Night Shoot of the City Center. A 1 sec exposure or even 1/2 sec is good enough. For some still water effect, need about 4-8 sec. Just take notes of camera shake for longer exposure. Keep ISO low at 100-200 Esplanade Theatre You cannot miss the Esplanade Theatre. A new blue hour shot. Just beside the city center. With programmes all year long, can catch some free show too. Raffles Hotel Singapore The Raffles Hotel looks good after all these years. Its is the most exotic of the Oriental British. Comes with the Singapore Sling on the Local Office Tour Programmes. Got some High End Shopping too. City Singapore through the Lens Series Will summarise everything here. All the good stuff. They call it the blue hour, not too difficult. Just need a camera, Tripod and some patience. Just take note of the Noise level.
